WITWI: JOY?

Another MSC member with a fine soprano voice is currently out of the scene...

Joy Cruz, niece of legendary MSC tenor, Oyet de Galicia is presently an employee at a local cooperative. Unfortunately, her work days include Sundays so she fails to join the weekly church services and rehearsals.

But no matter, when she finds another job, hopefully soon, things would go back to normal to both her and MSC.

We miss you, Joy.

Now this explains why MSC is dominated by guys!... All these women happened to be nurses who were blessed to practice their profession abroad along with their families.

WITWI: GLENN?

Bald Guy in the House! Bald and Buffed, that is!

But where in the world is he?

Perhaps you're all wondering. He's in Singapore, living the life he's always dreamed of having! That's Glenn! Totally brave and free-spirited.

I remember him as a newbie in the group way back then. So timid and shy. Turns out he's actually fun to be with, intellectual and very cool. And very obsessed of having the most perfect body in the whole universe! I would have uploaded more "provocative" images of him if this blog site wasn't at all this wholesome(ish). He is one great singer too, by the way! He sings with his heart that one could not miss noticing it just by seeing his facial expressions.

He may have applied for permanent residency so far away at the southern tip of the Malay peninsula (which is Singapore) but his heart will always beat for MSC!

WITWI: TEACHER TEY?

Hail to the Queen of the Kitchen! I remember the usual set-up the group does after the Mass every Sunday. Every member would shell out twenty bucks as contribution for the food we will be cooking and eating for breakfast before we go on for rehearsals! Tey would be the one collecting the cash and buying the ingredients from the market. Obviously Hilario's Sizzlers wasn't around back then.

She's a very dependable companion during group gimmicks! Especially in high risk places such as Divisoria and Quiapo (haha!). I don't know but for some reason I had a nagging feeling that she actually enjoys going to those places.

Every time the choir drops by her place, she is always ready to fix up something to offer for us in an instant! And we end up having a mini picnic at her backyard!

Things got slightly different ever since she left for Dubai, leaving her career as a Public School Teacher here in the Philippines on hold. Her usual accessibility to us can no longer be enjoyed especially by the new members while she's working her a** off in the desert.

WITWI: BINGOOOOO!!!

Lourdes Eugenio Mondido was commonly regarded as "Ate Bhing" by MSC. She was one of the strong pillars of the group ever since. She's like a mascot because of her funny antics and idiosyncrasies! She would have her embarrassing yet hilarious moments that she would not hesitate to share with everyone close to her. But underneath the superficial reveals a genuinely compassionate and generous persona. She has very good chops when it comes to singing! Maybe it runs in the family. In fact, she's my first cousin.

Aside from being a talented singer, she is one tough person. She has surpassed a lot of storms in her life in the past and moved on with her head held high!

Now, she lives in Melbourne, Australia with her loving husband, Carlos. Even though she's away from her hometown and her close friends, she would always be a big and loving supporter of MSC!

WITWI: LEO AND GIGIE

Leo and Gigie... two of MSC's lovable members. Leo, his incredible funny jokes and antics that one can never stop laughing when he's around! Gigie on the other hand is very charismatic! Her ability to cook good food is one of her best assets.

Put them together and you have a party!

For as long as I can remember, whenever MSC comes by their place, Leo would always do the entertaining while Gigie comes up with something to serve for us. Then, we would buy a couple bottles of booze from a nearby store and it's an instant PARTY.

But things got different after the Leo and Gigie, together with their children moved to London to find greener pastures. Their commitment and generosity to MSC will always be acknowledged.

MSC wonders when will we ever party with them again...

WITWI: JHE & HER ORGAN

It's not what you think... I'm talking about a Church Organ

Jhe, has been a familiar face at the OLRP church for as long as I can remember. I would always see her on the musician's chair playing the organ during the evening masses almost everyday.

Her generosity and commitment to OLRP goes beyond the barriers of MSC. She makes time to lend her services in Masses no matter what choir was singing. How can you top that?

Now, she works as a nurse in the US with her husband Jhun (Bass, MSC member) and three beautiful children!

I remember her being silent and serious, yet i remember her at her wackiest as well. I remember her as a debutante, a bride and a mother.
And I remember her simply as a friend who was willing to stand beside you in your time of need.
