HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GLADY!

Glady, MSC's newest public relations officer celebrated her birthday on the 4th of February. We look forward for your grand birthday bash on the 21st along with our other members who will be celebrating with you this month!

BEST WISHES TO YOU!
MAY YOU BE BLESSED ALWAYS!

A FEW MORE DAYS LEFT BEFORE SG

The elders of and close friends of Mackoy in MSC were invited for a dinner at the Trinoma Mall by MSC President Cocoy. The purpose? A mini-sending off party for Mackoy before he leaves for Singapore. We must not forget that this was also a surprise for him!

The dinner happened particularly at Kamay Kainan where the pack enjoyed a very sumptuous buffet! The snails were outstanding! Although some of us would be grossed out just by thinking of eating these slimy critters. There was a happy atmosphere that night! All of us were openly expressing our utmost optimism about Mackoy's new voyage.
After dinner, the group transferred to Coffeebean for a nightcap and more bonding. Very typical of the oldies' ways if you ask me.

That was actually the last time I saw Mackoy. But I was thankful to be given the chance to celebrate his "future" success in Singapore! Cheers, Mackoy and Bon Voyage!!!

MACKOY IN SINGAPORE

Another MSC member has followed the steps of co-Tenor Glenn Foronda. Mark John, also known as Mackoy (TENOR), left the country hoping for a much successful career in Singapore. On January 22, 2010, Mackoy made his final stroll (for now) along the familiar thoroughfares of Metro Manila to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) which marks the start of his newest adventure to Singapore. It was certainly a sad day for MSC most especially for our President Cocoy (If you want to know why, better ask her about it, yourself! hehe).

Where ever you may be, we wish you all the best. May you be successful and be able to share your blessings to others as well... God bless you! BON VOYAGE, MON AMI!!!

THE ANNUAL MSC CHRISTMAS-NEW YEAR PARTY 2009

On January 2, 2010, MSC held its annual Christmas Party at Tito Boyet's (Bass) family compound. After a blur of different personal Christmas activities of each member, I wondered if we could ever squeeze into our schedules, to organize even a simple get-together of our group. But because of the efforts of our President, Cocoy (SOPRANO) and Vice, Mackoy (TENOR), finally a party was thrown!

Even though the food prepared this year was simple, it is still awesome and very satisfying (compared to my New Year's eve meal! ahaha!). Each section handled a specific meal (as always!) although I heard that most of the work were made by Tita Lulu (soprano) and Tito Oyet (Tenor).
Our members always come up with games to help liven up the party a bit more! Karesse and Adie, made sure of the active participation of all the members in the games they prepared for the night. Unfortunately, since the games took a lot of the time, the annual MSC IDOL singing competition was not included in the programme this year. And Gerry (Tenor) would still retain the title of MSC idol!

The party lasted until the wee hours of the morning and we had an opportunity the re-evaluate our group and individual members' performances shortly after our traditional exchanging of gifts. The party ended as if on cue at 4:30 AM, just enough time to prepare for the 5:00AM scheduled Mass service.

Here's to a blessed year ahead, with more new talents and more fun-filled fellowships to come!
Cheers!

A FAMILIAR SIGHT

Does this hallway look familiar? This is usually the scene each member sees every time we show up to serve at the OLHRP church every Sunday and during special occasions. Lucky for our younglings that they already have a finished church to serve at unlike before that we sing amidst dirt or mud (when it rains) because the church was still in construction.
I hope the anticipation of seeing and traversing along this hallway up to the choir area will never ever wear out and fade away forever.
